Celebrate with Diana

Diana: A Celebration now at the Atlanta Civic Center is a must-see. (Read more about my visit here.) Come during a Friday night in April and enjoy Martini Fridays from 5 to 8 PM. Sip a martini, available for just $5, and stroll through the nine galleries. Take advantage of the Girls' Getaway at the Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, starting at $229 or the Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead starting at $239, which includes two VIP tickets, an audio tour, and breakfast for two. Try one of their special Diamond Tiara cocktails garnished with gold leaf or edible white rose petals created just for the exhibition. For more on the exhibit visit www.dianaexhibition.com and for the package visit www.ritzcarlton.com/atlanta or www.ritzcarlton.com/buckhead.

Wine and Bitch

Yep, that's the name of the April 23-25 weekend at the gorgeous Paws Up Resort in Greenough, Montana, designed for you and your canine pal. While Fluffy enjoys hand-made dog treats and can sashay in the dog parade, you can enjoy wines from Mutt Lynch Wineries, spa treatments and gourmet human treats. Paws Up is in Blackfoot Valley, 30 miles northeast of Missoula. Visit www.wineandbitch.com/ for the weekend and www.pawsup.com for the resort.

Machu Picchu Reopens

Rail service to the town of Machu Picchu has now resumed, actually ahead of schedule. Service had been cut off since the landslides in January and fortunately is back in time for peak travel season for North Americans, which is from May to November. About 858,000 visitors a year make the trek to the Inca citadel each year.  For updates visit Peru.info

Here's One

Plus you're automatically entered to win a private catered mini-cruise, the Fan-ta-Sea through Epcot. One cruise will be given away each weekend. The resort has five pools, spa and17 restaurants and lounges. www.swandolphin.com

Pick of the Week

I'm constantly fighting dry/frizzy hair, and of course getting highlights and using a flat iron don't exactly help. So I thought I'd give this rather unorthodox Cleansing Conditioner from Wen from celebrity stylist Chaz Dean a try. Forget the two-step process of lathering up with shampoo, then following that with conditioner. This is a one-step process, with no lather involved because all those ingredients that cause the lather are drying to your hair. Count out the recommended pumps for your length hair, apply, massage for a minute and leave on 3-5 minutes for extra conditioning and rinse out. My hair did feel a lot softer even after the first use and I like using only one product, so I'll be using this one for a while. More information at www.chazdean.com.
