Blue Devil Deal
So I can't resist this one as my daughter is a Blue Devil and I'm pulling for Duke in the NCAA tournament. The Millennium Hotel Durham is offering a deal based on the final score of Duke games. Check in any night when Duke is playing and your rate is guaranteed at $89 and the second night matches Duke's final score from the night before, but not to exceed $89. And you can watch the game at the Varsity Lounge, where you can also enjoy free appetizers. Check it out at www.millenniumhotels.com and use booking code DEVIL.
LEGOs in Paradise
Boy, would my son have loved this a few years back when our house was a landmine of LEGOs! Atlantis, Paradise Island has five-day LEGO fantasy camps this July where kids can work on building challenges with a LEGO master builder in the 8,000-square-foot kids club, with an entire room for LEGOs. The camp also includes a swim with dolphins, Atlantis speedway sessions and more. Camps are $425 and are July 12-16, July 19-23 and July 26-30. Find out more at www.atlantis.com/promotions/legocamp.aspx

Healing in Comfort
Nashville and Denver are home to many excellent hospitals and sometimes patients end up recuperating in a hotel, so Loews Hotels in those cities are offering extra care. Guests can get ice packs, heating pads, reclining beds and any type of specialized food from the kitchen. You can even get complimentary transportation to the hospitals. Room rates at Loews in both cities start at $119, about the cost of an aspirin in a hospital, right? For Denver call 303-639-1615 for reservations or additional information and 615-321-1955 in Nashville.
Pick of the Week
My new Shape-ups from Skechers are supposed to do many things including improve my posture, tighten my ab muscles, tone and firm my thigh muscles. Who doesn't want all those things? I can't swear I've toned up a ton yet, but I did feel a different set of muscles engage after wearing them for a while. And these shoes are incredibly comfortable and their rounded sole puts even more of a spring in my already-bouncy step so now I'm practically Tigger.
