Bellyard, the first hotel in the burgeoning West Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta, is a modern-chic boutique that is just perfect for this hip, style-conscious area.
A Tribute Portfolio hotel, it features 161 luxe suites and guest room and has a feel of an upscale downtown loft. There are plants, books, a little computer table that unfolds from the wall (dubbed in “in-room work zone”), Cold Plasma Air Purification Device, and a large seating nook nestled against the window perfect for reading and having a cup of coffee. Many rooms offer a beautiful view of the city’s skyline. The beds are comfortable; the bathroom beautifully appointed. Unlike many trendy hotels, Bellyard does not sacrifice function over form. The bathroom sink is plenty big and there is lots of storage.
While it is urban, and located in the new Interloch complex, there is a surprising amount of outdoor space. Behind the reception desk is a courtyard with greenery and seats and the outside patio again offers stunning views of the city.
While there are restaurants opening up regularly on the Westside, Bellyard’s Drawbar offers a wide variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner (plus drinks). St. Germain French Bakery, a local favorite patisserie, is also located in the lobby. bellyardhotel.com
