Dunwoody is poised to be a center of holiday celebrations in the greater Atlanta area. The area’s eight hotels are ready to host visitors with events such as Breakfast with Santa at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center, a holiday light display at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter at Ravinia and holiday drink specials at Le Meridien Atlanta Perimeter.
Other events include the 27th annual Holiday Artist Market where shoppers can find unusual gifts at the Spruill Gallery. Open through Dec. 23, the gallery will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring handmade gifts from more than 100 local artists, including those specializing in ceramics, jewelry and photography.
Vino Venue invites all ages to enjoy gingerbread house decorating. The restaurant will provide a gingerbread house and icing, and young and old alike can choose from more than 20 different “construction materials”, also known as candy. Let your inner artist take over. The class includes the fully assembled gingerbread house, Royal icing and candy as well as food and beverage for purchase. Gather girlfriends and enjoy the decorating with wine and lunch or brings the kids and enjoy a children’s menu. The classes are held at Vino Venue on Chamblee Dunwoody Road, which is the home of the Atlanta Wine School.
There still is time to reserve a spot for the annual picture taking with Santa at Perimeter Mall, which has installed number safety precautions and requirements, including masks. Santa will be at the mall until Dec. 24.
